The daycare center in San Felice showcases the versatility and efficiency of timber construction, combining CLT panels for the elevation structure with three elegantly curved roofs crafted from GI24h-class spruce beams. The result is a modern and sustainable space designed with care and precision.

To enhance the building’s sustainability, the exterior is clad with innovative, unplastered cork panels, providing natural insulation and a unique aesthetic. The use of cork significantly reduces the environmental impact, aligning perfectly with the project’s eco-conscious goals.

A testament to the efficiency of off-site construction, the entire structure was assembled in under three weeks without the need for a fixed crane. This streamlined process highlights the potential of Mass Timber and DfMA principles to deliver high-quality buildings quickly and efficiently. The project stands as an excellent example of how modern timber engineering can meet both functional and sustainability requirements.
