Kindergarten in Galliera (MO): A Safe and Sustainable Learning Environment

In 2013, we had the opportunity to engineer a kindergarten in Galliera, a project designed with safety, efficiency, and sustainability in mind. The building is made of CLT panels for walls and floors, ensuring structural integrity and environmental sustainability, key factors in creating an ideal space for young children. The roof was constructed using glulam beams, adding both durability and aesthetic value.

Given the seismic activity in the region, the structure was designed to meet stringent safety requirements. Our scope of work included structural analysisdetailing, and connection design, ensuring the building could withstand the forces of nature while providing a comfortable and welcoming space for its users.

Working closely with the design team, we adopted a DfMA approach, ensuring that the entire process, from design to assembly, was smooth and efficient. The result is a robust, sustainable structure that stands as a testament to the versatility and reliability of timber construction.
